Antico e nobilissimo casato siciliano, detto Collurafici, Collurà o, in epoca più recente, Collurafi, del quale, in una antica pergamena araldica, abbiamo il privilegio di leggere: "Habbiam ritrovato non più nobile, che antica la famiglia Collurafici in Messina; fra i suoi huomini illustri, si leggono, Bonafede C. Senator di Messina nel reggimento del Rè Manfredo nel 1252, e suo figlio Federico fù Straticoto nel 1295. Vogliono, che il Bonafede sia figlio di Rubberto C. capo della guardia dell'Imperator Federico II, e suo fratello fù Manfredo C., che per haver seguito la parte di Corradino, gli fù fatto mozzar la testa dal Rè Carlo d'Angiò nella piazza di Napoli con Galvano Lanza insieme. Da Buonafede nè nacquero Federico, già detto, Corrado,e Manfredo, che ressero la loro patria con la dignità Senatoria: procrearono eglino à Ramondo Federico, e Giacomo C., prima paggi, e poi gentil'huomini della Regina Leonora, anche il Federico hebbe
