Famiglia originaria del Castello di Campo (Pisa), ove fiorì nel secolo XVI; fu iscritta fra le famiglie patrizie della repubblica Pisana, in cui alcuni membri goderono i supremi onori. Dall'imperatore Leopoldo con decreto del 3 novembre 1668 fu insignita del titolo baronale del Sacro Romano Impero. I Del C. si trovano già stabiliti a Parma nella seconda metà del secolo XVII (Patenti Sovrane in Archivio Stato, Parma). La duchessa di Parma Maria Luigia riconobbe alla famiglia il titolo con decreto del 1823 nella persona di Giacomo e suoi discendenti (mf.). Sono iscritti nell'Elenco Ufficiale: Enrico (deceduto), di Giacomo. Figli: Antonio (1853-1891), Raffaele, nato 1865; Emilio, nato 1874; Roberto, nato 1867; Edvige, nato 1857; Linda, nata 1863. Figli di Antonio: Lamberto, nato 1891; Giulio, nato 1895. Figlio di Raffaele: Alberto. Figli di Roberto: Giacomo, nato 1899; Bianca, nata 1902.
