Questa famiglia proviene da un Rondinello, di Olivieri, rammentato col fratello Gherarducci all'Opera di S. Maria del Fiore. Da Olivieri, di Rondinello, nacque Spinalbello, detto Bello, che nel 1248 sedeva tra gli Anziani quando in Santa Reperata fu giurata la lega con gli Aretini. I Rondinelli parteggiano costantemente tra i guelfi, ed essendo dell'ordine popolare fecero parte del nuovo Stato dopo la riforma del 1282. Veri, di Bello, aprì la serie dei 36 priori usciti da questa casa, nel 1296, e fu anche il primo dei 12 gonfalonieri di giustizia, nel 1309. Si ricordano Michele, di Vieri, deputato a comprare Lucca dagli Scaligeri, nel 1341, Accetatissimo al popolo, se ne mise a capo quando nel 1343 furono prese le armi contro i magnati. Rinaldo, di Filippo, due colte ambasciatore a Genova, e ambasciatore residente a Lucca. Concorse con Giovanni e Cosimo de' Medici all'edificazione del tempio di S. Lorenzo,
