Les Conforto ont prospéré dans la noblesse sicilienne au XVIIe siècle. Un Giovan Battista, de Syracuse, avec le privilège du 7 février 1667, obtint le titre de baron du piège ou ton de Noto. Autre branche. Ancienne famille génoise. Ancienne et noble famille originaire de Gênes. Le Commendator GB de Crollalanza rapporte le blason de cette famille dans les volumes de son dictionnaire historique des blasons des familles nobles et notables italiennes. Les noms des Conforto se retrouvent surtout mentionnés dans les contrats d'achat de terres et de maisons à partir du XIIIe siècle. Mais s'il nous manque les actes antérieurs à ceux de Giovanni Scriba de l'an 1150, et de Lanfranco Lotaro de 1180, afin d'augmenter plus de degrés de noblesse de cette famille, les mêmes actes, cependant, nous donnent la preuve évidente d'un beaucoup plus tôt l'antiquité, puisque beaucoup d'entre eux sont si nombreux et divisés en plusieurs
