Ho conosciuto tre famiglie di Roma di questa Casa D. Camillo Duca di Carpineto, che nel prime nozze ebbe per moglie Vittoria figlia di Alfonso Piccolomini e da lei due figliole femmine delle quali l'una fu monaca, l'altra fu maritata al marchese Olgiati. Nelle seconde nozze ebbe in moglie Cinthia figlia di Simone Capisucco colla quale medesima ebbe figliole femmine e nessuna maschi. Muorì pochi mesi dopo in poverissimo stato, essendo stato sfortunato in tutte le cose che imprendeva e nondimeno fu grandissimo uomo da bene e stimo che andasse a male per mera dapocaggine e questi era il capo della Casa, come apparisce dalla sua abitazione che sta nel Monte Magnanapoli con un torre grande denotante grandezza, Il tutto oggi incorporato nel Monastero di Santa Caterina, e chiamata la torre de Conti.
