Il Nobile Camillo ottenne il titolo di Conte in linea primogeniale mascolina con Regio Decreto del 6 maggio 1928 e RR. LL. PP. 10 agosto 1928; e con altro D. R. del 7 febbraio 1930, ottenne l'aggiunta del cognome Bonacossi. Questa fu famiglia antichissima di Ferrara o Mantova e portó "d'oro a tre fascie di rosso" oppure "di rosso a tre fascie d'oro". É nota dal 1200. Fin dal 1206 ebbe il feudo di Poleto, e nel 1225 faceva parte del Consiglio di Mantova. Pinamonte nel 1219 fu del Magistrato degli Anziani del Popolo; Martino fu Rettore della Repubblica; Tono fu podestá di Verona nel 1203; Corrado nel 1280 ottenne l'investitura della metá della Corte Pozzuolo e delle terre adiacenti al Mincio. I Bonacossi o Buonacolsi furono signori di Susano, di Villa dei Cavalieri, di Villa Grossa, di Pampuro e di Gazo. La famiglia é iscritta nel Libro d'Oro della
