Furono consorti dei Monaldi, e si trovano nelle magistrature fino dal 1197, essendo in quell'anno Rinuccino, di Forese, tra i consiglieri del Comune. Dei principali della guelfa fazione, Mainetto, Rinieri e Rinuccio si distinsero nel 1260 sui campi di Montaperti. Istituito il governo popolare, ne fecero parte, e dal 1296 al 1455 ottennero per diciotto volte il priorato, e per cinque il gonfalonierato di giustizia. M. Ranieri nel 1305 ambasciatore a Napoli per invitare il Duca di Calabria a venire a prendere il comando delle milizie fiorentine; Stefanino, di Duccio, pretore a Perugia nel 1349 e nel 1352 ambasciatore a Pisa, e nel seguente anno oratore ai Senesi. Ranieri, di Giuliano, governò Arezzo in qualità di commissario nel 1449. Della famiglia non si hanno più notizie. Altro ramo. Del quartiere di S.
