La famiglia é originaria di Orzinuovi (Brescia). Nel 1778 Giovanni Battista, di Giovanni Francesco nato a Orzinuovi il 27 ottobre 1742 e morto a Brescia, S. Nazaro il 7 novembre 1813, dovendo pei suoi affari portarsi spesso e trattenersi a Milano, sollecitó ed ottenne il riconoscimento della nobiltá e dello stemma gentilizio con decreto dell'I. R. Tribunale Araldico in data 5 settembre di detto anno. Coi documenti prodotti in quell'occasione provó che la sua famiglia discendeva dallo spettabile signore Valerio, vissuto a metá del secolo XVI, il quale da sua moglie Barbara generó il magnifico e nobile signor Michele, nato a Orzinuovo il 20 novembre 1578 e morto ivi il 10 febbraio 1645. Da Michele e da sua moglie Domenica nacque il nobile signor Francesco il 20 febbraio 1625, e da Francesco e da sua moglie Francesca venne in luce pure ad Orzinuovi il 6 gennaio 1674 il nobile ed
