Très illustre maison de la Bretagne, d'une haute antiquité, dont les premiers auteurs connus sont: Hamelin, Odon et Geoffroi, témoins de donations faites par les barons de Vitré, de 1060 à 1090, et un traité de paix qui suivit la bataille de Tinchebray en 1106; Pierre, ratifie en 1225 les privilèges accordés par le duc à Saint-Aubin du Cormier; Jean, chevalier du Temple en 1309; Guy, abbé de Saint-Augustin de Limoges en 1337; Jean, maitre des comptes du sire de Laval, ratifie le traité de Guérande en 1381, et épouse 1° Marguerite Recappé, 2° Jeanne du Hallay; Pierre, abbé de Mont-Morel au diocèse d'Avvanches en 1558. La branche de la Bichetière fondue dans Kermainguy; la branche de la Guichardière fondue dans les Taillandier qui ont pris le nom de la Guichardière.
