Antigua familia veneciana, de clara y ancestral virtud, que se ha extendido a lo largo de los siglos en varias regiones de Italia. El origen de esta cognominación, según genealogistas autorizados, debe buscarse en el nombre de saludo cristiano "Corpus Christi" o "Corpi Santi".
