Antigua y muy noble familia ligur de Levanto llamada Corresia o Correzza de la que tenemos noticias desde el siglo XVI con un Gregorio un Paolo que en 1528 fue adscrito en el Calvi. No se tienen noticias de la rama original de esta familia desde el siglo XVII, viceversa, diversas ramas se extienden con honor y florecen en diferentes regiones del mundo. GA Ascheri, en la obra que emprendió y realizó "Noticias históricas en torno a las familias en los hoteles de Génova, impresa en Génova por Faziola en 1846", es de origen italiano, pasó a Génova entre los siglos XV y XVII. Pocas ciudades cuentan con familias nobles tan antiguas como las de Liguria, ya que a pesar de los acontecimientos de la época aún cuenta en su seno con muchas familias que acreditan su genealogía de padres a hijos mediante escrituras notariales desde mediados del siglo XII
