Antica e nobile famiglia della Toscana, detta Corsini, Corsino o Corsina. Questa comparisce nobile al pari dell'altre Famiglie Fiorentine, poiche fu tra le prime, che godessino il supremo Magistrato degli Eccessi Priori, e il grado di Gonfaloniere nella maturazione dello Stato, come ben si cava dal Priorista. Et avanti questa mutazione si vede pur nobile, mentre scorgiamo, che il Consiglio generale di Fiorenza fatto l'anno 1255 elegge 12 Nobili huomini con suprema, e primaria autorità, e tra questi Alberto di Corsino. Da una scrittura nell'Archivio della Badia di Fiorenza si argomenta, che questa famiglia sia stata tra le famiglie Consulari, per avere questo avuto potestà esiam sopra i Consoli, non potendosi in realtà mostrare questo grado, in quelle famiglie primarie a causa delle Scritture pubbliche, che in quelli anni mancono di molte, e per fortuma qualche Consolo si trova in alcun luogo particolare, mentre Fiorenza si governava all'antico uso Romano con
