Ancient and Decurial family of Pavia, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. Alfonso, grandchild of the Count Giambattista della Pietra, received from him two-thirds of the fief of Pecetto Oltrepò, with investiture August 11, 1611, of King Philip III. Ferrante, feudal lord of Pecetto, with diploma 6 July 1639, received by the Duke of Mantua the title of Marquis on the fief of S. Stefano Belbo; Siro, with diploma March 18, 1654, was created Marquis of Retorbido. Alfonso, Marquis of S. Stefano Belbo, had from the King of Sardinia, with licenses August 27, 1791, the confirmation of the entire fief of Pecetto, with the title of Lord, and of the fief of S.
