La familia hizo tres pases de Cataluña a Sicilia, primero con Rè Pietro d'Aragona, luego con Rè Martino, y últimamente con Rè Ferdinando I, guiados por las virtuosas cualidades de Bartolomeo C., quien fue promovido por el mismo Rè en la primera cargas del reino; porque en 1415, bajo el regimiento del mismo rey Fernando, gobernó Sicilia con el cargo de virrey, junto con Fernando de Vega y Martino Torres.
