Alte sienesische Familie, deren Familienname ursprünglich Cosatti war und die dem Adel von Siena durch Beschluss des Balia vom 22. Januar 1612 zugeschrieben wurde, der am 31. Dezember desselben Jahres vom Großherzog genehmigt wurde. Er war 1642 und 1647 Teil der Signoria. Giovan Battista di Piero residierte 1650 im Konsistorium, und sein Sohn Pietro wurde 1699 zum höchsten Hauptmann des Volkes erhoben. Die gleiche Position wurde ab 1717 von Giuseppe und 1721 von Bartolomeo, den Söhnen von Piero predetto, besetzt. Antonio di Giuseppe erhielt am 22. April 1738 die Gewohnheit von S. Stefano, Gerechtigkeit zu üben. Sie wurden gemäß dem Adelsgesetz von 1750 durch Dekret vom 4. März 1754 in die goldenen Bücher des Adels von Siena eingetragen. Ernesto von Cesare, von Ferdinando. Sohn: Mario. Marios Tochter: Anna Maria.
