Venne la famiglia da Pisa in Sicilia sotto il reggimento del Rè Federico II con Pietro de' Calci, Gerardo Staì, ed Andrea di Plaia gentil'huomini Pisani; guidata da Corrado, e Pietro Cosmetrio: e secondo Rubberto Pisanelli, co' medesmi vennero Arrigo Federichi, Bulgarino d'Alfonso, Buonaccordo di San Casciano, Raineri Ricci, Benedetto Vernacci, Gualfredo Mele, Bernardo Cenami, ed Accorso Cavaliere,che tutti costoro, fermati in Sicilia, fondarono le loro famiglie in molte Città, e luoghi del Regno, che fin'a' nostri tempi i loro posteri si scorgono. Da Corrado C. dunque ne nacque Giovanni C., che dal Rè Federico III nel 1371 per suoi servigi hebbe onze 50 di rendita in feudo sovra la dogana di Palermo, e suo figlio Luca altre onze 50 dal Rè Martino nel 1396 sovra le secretie della medesma Città, e altre onze 56 di rendita sovra i beni di Guglielmo Ramon di Moncada nel 1397; e l'altro figlio
