Ancient Chieri family, of clear and proven nobility, whose first vestiges go back to the century. XII, aggregated with the Raschieri at the Hotel degli Albuzzani. It is found in a high state already in the early sec. XV, with Luigi, author of the luster and fortune of his home, later feudal of Cavallerleone (1402), Arignano (1407), Polonghera (1411), Bene (1412), Valogorera (1413), Trinità ( 1416), of Carrù (1418), etc. Served in councils and in war the first duke of the House of Savoy, Amedeo VIII, and the prince of Achaia, with the rank of lieutenant general of the troops. He married Eleonora di Saluzzo, of the sovereign family of Saluzzo. At his death, it seemed for a moment that the great fortune and the hassle of his home paled; because the children, under the tutelage of Marshal Manfredo di Saluzzo, had to be rehabilitated by the fault of usury
