Sehr edle und alte piemontesische Familie mit großen Familienzweigen auch im lombardischen Gebiet, genannt Costiglioli oder Costiglioli, ihr alter Name war Costanza oder dei Costanzi; Ein Zweig lebte in Saluzzo und ein anderer in Costigliole, von dem er seinen modernen Namen erhielt. Das erste, an das wir bestimmte Erinnerungen haben, ist ein William-Schloss von Saluzzo im Jahr 1192, das zahlreiche Nachkommen hatte, aus denen verschiedene Zweige hervorgingen, von denen zur Unterscheidung einige Costanzi oder Costigliole, andere de Burgo, andere de Garro oder Garroni angesprochen wurden und andere aus dem Palazzo. Mit Ausnahme der Costanzi starben alle anderen Zweige über zwei Jahrhunderte aus. Sie deckten die auffälligsten Positionen unter dem Marquis von Saluzzo ab. Im Jahre 1215 erhielt der vorgenannte Gugielmo aus dem März. Manfredi II Investitur des Schlosses und der Villa von Costigliole, wo vor einigen Jahren noch ein Spross dieser Familie lebte.
