La imperatrice Maria Teresa, con diploma dato a Vienna il 27 gennaio 1750, confermando diversi diplomi imperiali a favore di Mattia Giuseppe Benedetto C. di Breitenstein, lo elevava coi suoi discendenti d'ambo i sessi al grado di barone del S.R.I.* e gli concedeva lo stemma sopradescritto. Chiesero la iscrizione nell'Elenco ufficiale le seguenti due sorelle, figlie di Mattia Giuseppe, di Simon Leopoldo e di Luigia Inama: 1. Maria Anna, nata Besenello (Trento), 2 maggio 1869; 2. Chiara Teresa, n. Bresenello, 16 giugno 1870. *Sacro Romano Impero, nome ufficialmente assunto dal ricostituito Impero Romano d'Occidente dopo la solenne incoronazione di Carlo Magno in Roma (800).
