Family originally from Palermo, received in the SM Order of Malta on 21 February 1856 with the Knight Francesco, who added the surname Ristori to his own as a maternal inheritance. Decorated with the title of Marquis of Casaleggio, in Monferrato, by succession of the Ristori family, title recognized with Regio Rescritto 8 October 1830 in the person of Giuseppe who succeeded his parent Maddalena Ristori. The aforementioned Giuseppe died on November 13, 1862, was succeeded by his eldest son Fulco, born January 6, 1830. He was recognized of generous nobility in 1843 by the R. Commission of the titles of nobility in the Pruova dell'Aspirante to R. Guardia del Corpo, Gaetano Amalfitani ; and in Pruova Amalfitani itself, the generous nobility of the Genoese patrician Ristori family was recognized, invested, in 1735, by the marquisate of Casaleggio, in Monferrato. The family is generically registered in the Official Italian Noble
