Sehr alte neapolitanische Familie, von der wir in einem alten heraldischen Text lesen: "Unter den Adelsfamilien der Stadt Neapel außerhalb des Seggi fanden wir die Familie Curto, die von Regent Camillo illustriert wurde. Sie war in Verbindung mit den Adelsfamilien Castiglione de 'Baroni di San Nicolò und Montefrescoso und hat sich in viele andere Städte der neapolitanischen Provinzen ausgedehnt. Sie stammte aus Katalonien oder aus der Stadt Barcelona, die reich an Sizilien ist, und unter den alten feudalen Baronen um 1343 gibt es: Antonio de Curtibus, der in jenen Zeiten mit Pracht des wahren Adels blühte, und nicht lange Simone de Curtibus hochgeschätzter Kavalier von König Federico III. Und ebenfalls von König Martin, hauptsächlich wegen des oben erwähnten Königs Federico III. Und ebenfalls von König Martin; er aus dem oben genannten Re Federico hatte 1374 jährlich ein Jahr im Lehen über den Häfen von Trapani und Marsala, sein Sohn Giovanni
