Très ancienne famille bolognaise, rappelée dans de nombreuses annales de cette terre, non sans honneur, qui s'est répandue au fil des siècles dans diverses régions d'Italie. De nombreuses personnes de hautes vertus appartenaient à cette illustre maison, parmi lesquelles, sans nuire à la valeur des omis, on se souvient : Antonio, lecteur de grammaire, d'astrologie et de médecine, ainsi que professeur à l'Université de Bologne, jusqu'en 1360 ; Alberto, docteur en "utroque jure", résidant à Bologne, en 1563 ; Carlo Maria, notaire et essayiste, membre du conseil bolognais, résidant en 1602 ; Filippo, médecin, demeurant à Bologne, en 1656 ; Gesualda, épouse de Francesco Mezzofanti et mère de nombreux enfants, dont Cav. Pietro Minarelli, médecin et membre de la faculté de médecine de Bologne, Cav. Antonio, juriste, Filippo, architecte et Giuseppe Gasparo, estimé cardinal ; Emilio, propriétaire de la célèbre typographie du même nom à Bologne, résidant en 1841. Autre succursale.
