Antigua y muy noble familia piamontesa, llamada Dalla Valle o Dallavalle, nacida por Lu Monferrato pero establecida en Casale, propagada, decorada con los títulos de: Marqueses de Bozzole (1745), Lu (1737), Mirabello (1637), Pomaro (1745) ; señores de Castelgrana, Mottagrana; consignatarios de Giarole, Terruggia. Sin embargo, según otros autores, la familia era originaria de Lucca, donde se han encontrado recuerdos desde el segundo.
