Sono i Damasceni antichi romani, parentarono colli Velli di Trastevere, colli Teoli, colli Castellani, con Ruggieri, con Salamoni, con Peretti e con Piantanidi. Del 1570 Instrumentum dotis inter Mag. Dominum Fabium Damascenum Nobilem, Romanum ex una et Magn. Dom. Franciscum Peretti, ac. Dom. Camillam relictam aq. d. Joannis Baptistae Peretti e Montalto uti fratrem et matrem respective Nobilis D. Mariae Felicis Peretti ex attera, die 9 ottobris 1570. Saccoccius Not. Cap. Questo Fabio, fu Padre del Card. Alessandro Montalto, e del Principe Michele Peretti e di Flavia duchessa di Bracciano. Morì pochi anni dopo Giulio Damasceni, che di Vittoria Piantanidi lasciò molti figli. Muorì ultimamente Angelo Damasceni, Prelato di segnatura, e canonico di S. Pietro fratello naturale del Card. Alesssandro, lasciò erede il moderno Card. Francesco Montalto, suo nipote e fu sotterrato nella Cappella di Sisto in Santa Maria Maggiore. Hanno la Casa in Trastevere ove per secoli intieri cotrassero
