Ancient and very noble Piedmontese family, originally from Brozzo but then passed to Ivrea, known as Brida or De Brida, spread over the centuries in various regions of Italy and the world. As reported by Antonio Manno, in the volumes of his "Il Patriziato Subalpino", the family is adorned with the title of Lords of Lessolo but they make use of the weapon, crest and motto of the Castellamonte counts, of which they are a collateral branch. On the other hand, this family, in the unfolding of decades, has always managed to produce a series of men who have made its name famous, in public employment, in the liberal and ecclesiastical professions and in military service. Among these, without taking anything away from the value of the omissions, count: Tommaso, landowner, flourishing in 1576; Gio. Batta, very expert jurisconsult, flourishing in Ivrea, in 1594; Francesco Giuseppe, doctor in "utroque jure",
