Très illustre maison de la Bretagne, d'une haute antiquité, dont les premiers auteurs connus sont: Perrot, écuyer dans des montres d'Olivier de Clisson en 1375; François, fils de Jean, et de N. de Lourme, épouse avant 1480 Catherine, dame de Bignac; un chevalier de Saint-Lazareen 1612; un chevalier de l'ordre du Roi en 1658; un page du Roi en 1740; un brigadier des armées navales en 1783. La branche ainée fondue en 1589, dans Carné, par le mariage de Renée, dame de Castellan, avec François de Carné, seigneur de Rosampoul, gouverner de Morlaix, pour la Ligue. Elle s'enferma avec son mari dons cette place assiégée en 1594 par le maréchal d'Aumont et soutint par son courage celui des assiégés dont elle partagea les dangers, les travaux et les privations. La seigneurie de Castellan rentrée en 1716 dans la famille de ce nom par retrait lignager est passés par alliance en 1811 aux Borel de Bottemont. Nunc: la Ruée.
