Etienne Soleillant alias de Cros, était prébendier de la duchesse de Bourbon en sa chapelle de N.-D. de l'hôpital de la ville de St-Bonnet-le-Château (1416-1469). François, coseigneur de Séjallières en Velay (1543), épousa Louise Tranchard dame en partie du Brignon. Noble Florimond coseigneur de Séjaillières, leur fils, fut compris au terrier du Brignon en 1548. Il était frère de Guillaume de Soleillant. La distinction familiale représentée ici sous forme de blason, survit à travers les siècles grâce à des précieux témoignages qui nous ont permis de rapporter les exploits et les gestes de cette noble famille. Armes de cette famille: D'azur, au soleil d'or accompagné de trois roses d'argent, 2 et 1. Devise: Deo soli.
