Entre el linaje De La Rosa en Badajoz podemos mencionar a: Alonso De La Rosa, Comendador de la Orden de Santiago y Juan Martínez De La Rosa, Auditor General del Ejército de Italia. Es probable que de los anteriores caballeros originarios de Bajadoz, pero establecidos en Nápoles, procedieran los que en la repetida ciudad italiana se apellidaron de Rossa (ósea con dos eses).
