Antichissima ed assai nobile famiglia toscana, detta Lucia o De Lucia, la quale deve essere annoverata tra le più ricche e possenti della città di Arezzo, come testimoniano, proprio in quella città, le moltissime iscrizioni, su macigni vetustissimi. La famiglia De Lucia ha avuto immensi poderi nel dominio Aretino e possedeva un porto nelle Chiani, fiume reso celebre dalla narrazione di Plinio, di cui ancora se ne vedono le vestigie, ritenendo pure il suo nome gentilizio di porto Luciano, e questo era guardato da un grosso, e forte Castello oggi Villaggio in cui si vedono le rovine, ed è chiamata corrottamente Policiano; e di tutto questo se ne vedono memorie negli Archivi aretini, ossia in quello della Cattedrale, come pure in quello della Badia, nel quale si conserva un libro di lettere scritte dall'Abate Gironimo Aliotti, che fioriva nel 1160 circa, nelle quali si vedono raccomandate le reliquie di si
