Família antiga do norte da Itália, documentada em várias cidades, nas formas (de) Pellegrin, (de) Pellegrini, Pellegrino e Pellegrinelli, porém de origem comum. De acordo com historiadores competentes, tanto o ramo de Verona quanto o de Friuli e Veneza são uma derivação do antigo xará de Bérgamo.
