Família mais ilustre, originária da cidade de L'Aquila, nobre nos arredores da Piazza, em Nápoles, atribuída a Monte Manso em 1748, decorada em 18 de janeiro de 1700 com o título de marquês, na pessoa de Carlo Antonio, presidente do Sagrado Conselho Real; esse título foi então colocado no feudo de Villarosa (território feudal no Principado de Citra) a partir do último título do referido feudo para Tommaso, em 4 de maio de 1768, no cupom daquela província. Foi recebido, por justiça, no SMO de Malta, em 1766, como um quarto da família Palmieri de Nápoles (Grande Arquivo de Estado de Nápoles, Priorado de Barletta, volume 29), e entrou no Registro dos Cavaleiros de Malta da justiça. A família está registrada na Lista Nobre Oficial Italiana de 1922, com o título de Marquês de Villarosa (mpr.), Na pessoa dos descendentes de Tommaso, de Carlo Antonio; atribuído ao Registro de Malta,
