I De Perini furono Consignori di Rivarossa, originari di Busano, e trapiantati in Valperga nel 1602, da un Giovanni notaio, e segretario ordinario del Duca di Savoia, il quale gli concesse l'uso della seguente arma: d'argento, a tre rose di rosso sopra un gambo di verde. Mentre il Cimiero: un cane nascente e tenente colla zampa destra una penna da scrivere col motto: Dont oderemo Fides et Virtus, la quale arma essendo stato confermata alla famiglia nel 1614, invece del cane, vi furono annessi due cani ai lati, uno tenente la penna, l'altro la spada. Per il matrimonio di Gian-Michele con una Boggio-Cortina, dei signori di Rivarossa, alla morte del padre di essa, avvenuta nel 1617, Gian-Michele ereditò quella signoria. Giovanni-Battista, cavaliere, nel 1674 ottenne il titolo di conte di Rivarossa, che alla sua morte ritornò alla Corona non avendo lasciato figli. Un altro Giovanni-Battista nel 1753 fu podestà
