Famiglia antichissima ed illustre, prima detta Dei Longobardi, venuta a Verona da Firenze a' tempi molto remoti. Bonaggiunta fu nostro giureconsulto e Giudice nel 1216. Negli Annali Da Lisca all'anno 1333 si nomina Pietro figlio di Giordano, Alessandro nel 1368 fu uno de' nostri, che per ordine dello Scaligero Can Signorio presedettero alla costruzione d'una parte delle mura della città. Bartolommeo fu dei capi del torneo fatto in Verona nel 1382, quando Antonio Della Scala sposò Samaritana Da Polenta. Benedetto, celebre nella sua arte, l'anno 1490 venne aggregato al Collegio dei nostri Medici. Negli anni 1432 e 1527 questa chiarissima e ricca prosapia formò parte del Nobile Consiglio patrio, e da lei prese il nome la corte Nogara, dove anticamente avea il palazzo. Un'altra casa di tal cognome da Vicenza si traslocò in Verona, dalla quale uscirono il giureconsulto Francesco ed il notajo Girolamo fratelli, ambedue creati cittadini veronesi nel
