Famiglia di antica nobiltà feudale, che per il diretto ramo mascolino trae la sua origine da Boccio, conte di Roccafederighi. Guasco di Guglielmo di Boccio costretto, nel 1292, dopo lunga e strenua lotta a sottomettersi col suo castello alla Repubblica di Siena, si ritirò a vivere presso il Castel della Pieve, protetto dalla potenza dei suoi cugini, i conti di Sarteano. In seguito la famiglia si trasferì a Celle in comunità di S. Casciano dei Bagni, e vi fu abilitata alle principali cariche municipali. Fu ascritta alla nobiltà di Prato con rescritto 30 agosto 1833. a) Alceo di Mario di Giacomo. Figli: Maria Alfredo. Figli di Alfredo: Giulio, Adele, Ezelina. b) Carlo di Achille di Giovanni. Figli: Adolfo, Gino, Rolando, Maria Giulia in Ridolfi, Ada in Ricci, Nella in Casoni.
