The Del Moro family, originally from Rome, spread out in different Italian provinces. From the branch established in Padua, Alboino Consul descended to Rialto in 424; so we read in the Venetian chronicles. Around one thousand they lived in Negroponte; shortly afterwards a Dominic was Episcope of Venice; and Giovanni, invested with the dignity of Patriarch of Grado in 1121, left fame as a virtuous man in public memoirs. In Murano, Stefano, in October 1143, gave the rents of some possessions to the church of S. Salvatore, built by his great-grandfather Domenico. In the memoirs of this family it is to remember that Luigi, Army Captain, who reported a victory of the Venetians over the Triestines in 1280; and Simone, a man of very clear knowledge, parish priest of S. Trovaso, S. Barnaba, S. Pantaleone and finally Bishop of Castello, where he died in about 1293. Included among the patriciate
