Très illustre maison de la Bretagne, d'une haute antiquité, dont les premiers auteurs connus sont: Hugues, enquéteur du roi saint Louis en Anjou, en 1225; Jean, au nombre des témoins du traité de Guérande, en 1365; Pierre, épouse vers 1400; 1° Guillemette de Sévigné, 2° Perrette de Saint-Aubin. Deux conseillers au parlement en 1609 et 1638. La branche ainée fondue, en 1610, dans de Lys; la branche de Chambellé fondue, vers 1680, dans la Bélinaye. Autre branche: Sylvestre, vivant en 1481, épouse Marie Madeuc; Jacques, grand prévôt maréchaux en 1592; Gilles, garde scel à la chancellerie, épouse en 1610 Françoise, dame de Beaucé: trois conseillers au parlement depuis 1597 et un président aux enquêtes en 1724; deux sénéchal de Rennes depuis 1633; un chevalier de Malte en 1664; une fille à Saint-Cyr en 1775.
