Antiga e muito nobre família veneziana, de clara e ancestral virtude, espalhada ao longo dos séculos em várias regiões da Itália e do mundo. De acordo com o que nos é transmitido, residiu primeiro em Treviso, de onde se mudou para Veneza em 1342, na pessoa de Messer Luchino, oficial acima de Rialto, chegando a essa nobreza agregada, sob o sobrenome "Branco". No mesmo século, começaram também os outros dois ramos importantes da família: o de Rovigo e o de Verona. Ambos foram apelidados de "della Bianca", que mais tarde se tornou "Della Bianca" ao longo dos séculos. O ramo florido de Rovigo deu origem a uma importante dinastia notarial, da qual um dos expoentes foi Ludovico della Bianca, que floresceu no final do século XV.
