Piemontesische Familie, alt und edel, genannt Dellarovere oder Rovere, die sich über die Jahrhunderte in verschiedenen Regionen Italiens verbreitet hat. Giovanni Basso (dez. Rom 1483), Sohn Guglielmo, Notar in Albissola, heiratete Luchesa, die Schwester von Papst Sixtus IV. Infolge dieses illustren Bündnisses verließ er seine väterliche Familie und übernahm die von della R.
