La corona marchionale, che timbrò l'arma della Repubblica Lucchese troncata di bianco e rosso col motto Libertas in giallo sopra una banda d'azzurro attraversante deriva dal diploma del 6 aprile 1160 di Guelfo, Marchese di Toscana, col quale cedè "a tutto il popolo lucchese ogni diritto, azione e giurisdizione". L'arma della Comunità fu approvata da Carlo Lodovico di Borbone, Duca di Lucca, con suo decreto del 16 arpile 1835. Motto della famiglia: Principi Fides Altro ramo. Furono anticamente mercanti di droghe; divenuti assai ricchi col loro commercio ed offerti alla Reppubblica cento mila ducati per la guerra di Candia. La jura comitale del Capitolo di San Martino si estese fino al 1799 su Massarosa, Fibbialla, Gualdo e Ricetro. Il duca di Lucca, Carlo Lodovico di Borbone, concesse la Nobiltà al Corpo morale, non ai singoli componenti, con decr. 5 ag. 1826. Altro ramo. È ignota la provenienza di questa famiglia;
