Alte und edle französische Familie, bekannt als Desmaret oder Desmarets, von klarer und überlieferter Tugend, die sich im Laufe der Jahrhunderte weltweit verbreitet hat. Diese mächtige Familie stammt ursprünglich aus Soissons und hatte die Marquisate Maillebois, Blevy, Rouvray und Allègre. In allen Altersgruppen stach es immer dank der prominenten Persönlichkeiten hervor, die im öffentlichen Dienst, in den liberalen und kirchlichen Berufen und im Militärdienst geboren wurden. Jean D., Generalintendant für Finanzen in Soissons (1634), wurde am 2. September 1652 zum Staatsrat ernannt. Nicolas D., Generalkontroller für Finanzen, Staatsminister (1708), wurde Großschatzmeister der Befehle des Königs (1713) ). Jean-Baptiste-François D., Marquis von Maillebois, Gouverneur von St. Omer und der Provinz Languedoc, Ritter des Ordens des Königs, Botschafter am bayerischen Hof (1718), erhielt am 11. Februar 1718 den Marschall Stab von Frankreich. Er hatte am 26. Januar 1713 in der Auvergne Marie-Emmanuelle de Tourzel d'Alègre, die älteste Tochter des Marquis d'Alègre, Marschall
