Antigua y noble familia francesa, conocida como Desmaret o Desmarets, de virtud clara y ancestral, que se ha extendido por todo el mundo, a lo largo de los siglos. Originaria de Soissons, esta poderosa familia tenía los marquesados de Maillebois, Blevy, Rouvray y Allègre. En todas las edades, siempre se destacó gracias a las figuras prominentes, que dieron a luz, en el servicio público, en las profesiones liberales y eclesiásticas y en el servicio militar. Jean D., intendente general de finanzas en Soissons (1634), fue nombrado consejero de estado el 2 de septiembre de 1652. Nicolas D., controlador general de finanzas, ministro de estado (1708), se convirtió en gran tesorero de las órdenes del rey (1713 ) Jean-Baptiste-François D., marqués de Maillebois, gobernador de San Omer y de la provincia de Languedoc, caballero de las órdenes del rey, embajador ante la corte de Baviera (1718), obtuvo el 11 de febrero
