Ancient Bergamo family passed and residing, first, in Gorizia and, in the 16th century, in the Lucca area. By decree of 6 October 1829, the Duke of Lucca, Carlo Lodovico di Borbone, granted the hereditary nobility to Giuseppe (married to Ortensia Ruggini), born in Rome on 25 January 1799, died in Lucca on 18 January 1878, who was first secretary of the Intimate Secretary of the Cabinet, Councilor of State and President of the Court of Grace and Justice.
