Família espanhola antiga e muito nobre, passou primeiro para Pisa e depois se espalhou para Messina e Palermo. Minutoli lembra um Domenico como Barão da Palermitan Scala, enquanto no Mastra Nobile del Mollica, como também sublinhado por Mugnos, encontramos um Francesco mais bagunçado.
