Ancienne et noble famille italienne, originaire de Sezze, qui voulait la même agnation du très noble Tuccimei que les deux descendants de ce Federico Tuccio di Meo qui, à la suite de Barbarossa, était venu en Italie pour s'installer à Velletrano. En tout cas, la noblesse claire de la famille Di Meo est confirmée par sa présence dans l'ouvrage héraldique précieux et fondamental "L'histoire des familles romaines" de l'historien Theodore Amayden (1586-1656) qui a nommé un Gaspare di Meo comme le premier caractère de cette lignée., qui a prospéré avant le 15ème siècle. Les Di Meos se sont toujours distingués pour ne pas se fermer au privilège et en effet beaucoup d'entre eux étaient clairs pour les pietas et l'amour du prochain. Un ami Di Meo a érigé un hôpital pour les pauvres à Mongiovino en 1490 et la même année, un Don Salvatore était chanoine à Città della Pieve.
