Ancienne et très noble famille de Sciacca, connue sous le nom de Tommasi ou Di Tommaso, qui porte le titre de seigneur de Canetici. Le sac. Domenico Di Tommaso acheta à Giovanni Cottù, baron de Nadore, 30 cadavres de ladite baronnie, dont son frère, Antonino, eut l'investiture le 24 septembre 1797. Le dit Antonino, alors, acheta le fief de Canetici, dont il obtint l'investiture le 20 août 1809, et occupa le poste de capitaine de justice à Sciacca, à partir de 1812/13. La famille, inscrite sur la liste officielle des nobles italiens en 1922, prend les armes. Bleu au lion d'or soutenu par une montagne de trois pics de vert partant de la pointe et surmonté de trois lys d'or séparés par un labelle à quatre pendants de rouge. Autre branche. Autre branche. Famille très noble, appelée Tommaso ou Di Tommaso, qui veut s'identifier à la lignée des Tomasi d'Ancône,
