A família teve Teodoro Duce da República Napolitana como progenitor. Ele teve a primeira nobreza em Nápoles nas sedes de Nido e as obteve em Cava, Lecce, Amalfi, Matera, Stilo, Tropea e Veneza. Ele gozava de senhorio com mais de 44 baronies e tinha o ducado de Cutrofiano. Em Nápoles, Rinaldo e Bertoldo são encontrados entre os barões na época de Carlos I de Anjou. Marino em 1289 era um carrasco e marechal Rinaldo do Reino. O ramo florescente de Orvieto ainda usava o vestido de S. Stefano. Uma estrada neste magnífico rastreio das memórias deste ramo até 1100 com Luciano pai de Jacopo, Angelo e Tommaso, conforme inscrição no túmulo do Duomo: "Hoc est Sepulcrum Jacobutii, Angeli, Thomassi, Aeredum Luciani Domus Dulciae". Em 1687, há Mons. Domenico D., que era arquiteto da catedral. Monaldo, nascido em 1682 em 17 de fevereiro, obtém para si e sua admissão no Bossolo
