Il 24 settembre 1932, X dell'Era Fascista, S.M. il Re Vittorio Emanuele II con suo Decreto di Motu proprio, concedeva il titolo di Marchese trasmissibile in linea primogeniale mascolina a Carlo Raffaele Bombrini del fu Giovanni. La sovrana concessione era un solenne riconoscimento dei meriti del concessionario non solo, ma di tutta una famiglia, che con il lavoro intelligente e tenace, con il buon uso della ricchezza, con il sangue versato sui campi di battaglia, ben meritò dalla patria. Da un Giovanni, nato a Genova nel 1768, valoroso ufficiale dell'Esercito della Serenissima Repubblica e poi dei RR.
