Appartenne a questa famiglia il conte Tiberio Troni, dottissimo giureconsulto, il quale sostenne eminenti cariche diplomatiche per la S. Sede presso le principali corti d'Europa, per cui si ebbe dalla Francia la decorazione dell'Ordine del Giglio, dal Pontefice Leone XII la commenda dell'Ordine di Cristo, e dall'Elettore di Magonza la carica di ciamberlano. Con lui si spense la linea maschile di questa famiglia, della quale non resta che la vivente contessa maria T. vedova Gessi. Altro ramo. L'opera intitolata "La storia delle Famiglie Romane" di Teodoro Amayden, parla di questa illustre famiglia, originaria del Lazio, e fregiata della nobiltà nella città di Roma. La famiglia levò per arma: spaccato: nel primo d'azzurro a tre palle male ordinate d'argento; nel secondo d'argento a tre rose di rosso moventi da un medesimo stelo di verde,
