Existían tres sedes de esta noble Casa en Vizcaya: una en la villa de Galdacano, otra en la Merindad de Uribe, ambas del partido judicial de Durango, y otra en Derio, en el distrito de Bilbao. Esta familia, en todas las épocas, se destaca siempre, gracias a las figuras destacadas, que la parieron, en el servicio público, en las profesiones liberales y eclesiásticas y en el servicio militar. Entre estos, sin menospreciar los omitidos, quisiéramos mencionar: Jorge, miliciano, presente en la Batalla de San Quintín; León, doctor en leyes, floreciente en Galdacano, en 1578; José Antonio, hacendado en Vizcaya, floreciente en 1604; Francisco, doctor en leyes, floreciente en Bilbao, en 1623; Martín, que sirvió al rey de España durante la revuelta de Masaniello en 1647; D.
