From Marco di Antonio Emaldi di Lugo Giovanni was born in 1707, a lieutenant in the royal guards of Spain, who retired with the rank of captain. His brother Monsignor Tommaso, secretary of the briefs to the princes, died in Rome in 1767. Joseph (1804-1879) was exemplary priest and secret waiter of Pope Pius IX. The aforementioned Giovanni belonged to the first order of the Centumviral Council of Ferrara, while his son Marco, obtained from Pius VI on 3 June 1788 the title of comital for himself and for his descendants. From Gio. Battista, son of Marco and his wife Countess Maria Rondini, Marco was born decorated with the cross Fidei et virtuti and the meritorious medal; Tommaso, dec. in 1925, from which Gio. Battista, n. 1892, and Maria Giuseppina, n. 1895; Annunziata, religious in the perpetual Adorers; Raffaele, doctor of jurisprudence, secret waiter of cape and sword of SS;
